Jonjo's Fundraising Story
Hello everyone! My name is Jonjo Heuerman and I have been raising funds for the Bobby Moore Fund in aid of Cancer Research UK since I was 9 years old.

In 2009, my family lost my grandmother to bowel cancer when she was only 60 years old. Being a massive West Ham fan, Bobby Moore was one of my footballing heroes. I also learned that he sadly passed away from the same disease as my grandmother. So, I decided to fundraise for the Bobby Moore Fund.

In 2011, I planned to walk 23 miles from Wembley Stadium to Upton Park in the memory of my nan, Bobby Moore, and loved ones whose names were given to me by other football fans. I wore a special t-shirt known as my angel shirt which was made in memory of all of those who lost their lives to cancer. After finishing the walk, I raised over £20,000.

Since then, I have walked and cycled over 3500 miles. Also, I have fundraised in memory of over 500 cancer sufferers and have raised over £350,000. In 2016, I was very proud to be featured in the New Year's Honours List where I received the British Empire Medal at 13 years old.
